Sunday lunch with family and friends

Hello everyone,

How did we all spend our weekend? I hope we are all having a great and stress free week.

On Sunday, I had the most amazing time with my family and friends. After church, we had lunch at Frankie and Bennys. It was my first time there and I actually enjoyed it. The atmosphere was great, customer service was good and the food was okay.  To be honest, my own meal was amazing:)

We started with the sharer starter platter. It had garlic bread, chicken wings, celery, side sauces, onion rings, bread sticks, potatoe skins and chicken tenders. It was a serving enough for the 7 of us. We all enjoyed the platter and were looking forward to the main course.

However, when the main course came, my mum, aunt and brother were not very pleased. They ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. We were all surprised that it looked so different from what was on the menu. It was not spicy and you know how Africans love their spicy food LOL. They also complained the serving was not filling and they were still hungry afterwards.

The rest of us ordered the chicago grinder calzone. A calzone is like a pizza folded in half. This was my first but it was really good. It had meatballs, pepperoni, chicken, salsa and jalapenos. It was a bit on the spicy side but that only helped to enhance the flavour. It was really filling as well because I was so stuffed that I couldn't even order dessert.

My lunch was definitely one of my highlights on Sunday:):) I love my food, no one judge me hehehehe

As usual, I got pictures:)

On the 'Thai Express' train

Hey guys,

I hope you all are enjoying your week:) I have not posted anything in a while because of my busy schedule plus I have not had the chance to go anywhere new or exciting.

Today I went to the mall to shop with my brother and I had the chance to try something new. It was the usual Thai food but this time, a different meal in a different restaurant. I ordered the ginger-flavoured stir fry vegetables with chicken on steamed rice. I wanted it very chilli. I had a side of spring rolls with it. It was really yummy and I enjoyed it.

Unfortunately, my phone battery died so I did not get a chance to take a picture of my meal
(I HAVE TO MAKE SURE THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN AGAIN)

I managed to take pictures of the flyer so at least you can have an idea of the restaurant and what they offer

Weekday Cocktails:):)

Heyy guys,

My friend and I met up earlier in the week around Camden Town, London. We searched for the best places to eat or have drinks. The best option was a Bar&Restaurant called 'BLUE KITCHEN'. I swear it looked very dodgy and old from the outside but inside, it had this vintage pub look which was a pretty cool setting to me.

We ordered cocktails which came with a side of salty popcorn. I had never tried cocktails and popcorn before. The popcorn was very salty so I did not really enjoy it. I bet if it was sweet, I would have liked it way better....me and my sweet tooth LOL

I ordered 'THE HURRICANE' and my friend ordered 'ZOMBIE'....they were pretty good:):) My friend is light-headed so she kinda got drunk from it LOL

I actually do not know what was in it but it was really good. If you would like to try then please go visit the restaurant:):):)

My first Cinnabon roll

Hey guys,

I hope you are doing well and your week has been amazing:):)
Mine has been a bit stressful but the highlight of my week was when I tried my first cinnabon roll hehehehe

I never got the chance to try one but yesterday I and my brother finally had one. It was sooo sweet but yet soo good. It tasted a lot like crepes but a sweeter version of it.
It is definitely not a good option for those who need to watch their weight e,g people like me!!

I would really love to make this by myself one day though,,,any helpers?!?1/

When Thailand meets Nigeria

Hey guys,

I hope our week has been amazing. Tomorrow is Friday WHOOP WHOOP:):)  I am really excited about that and I am sure you all are too.

As anyone tried Asian food with supermalt (a Nigerian drink)?? Well I have and it was really amazing:) For a while now, I have been craving supermalt. It is so weird because months ago I honestly would have not given the drink a second look if I had seen it at the store.

After I bought my supermalt, I was looking for what to eat. I found a new restaurant in Kentish Town called 'BAAN THAI'. This time around, instead of selecting something from the menu, I asked the waiter to recommend something for me. She recommended a spicy meal called 'Drunken Fried Rice'.. Yes you heard me right, I said Drunken Fried Rice hehehhe I ordered pork instead of the usual chicken or beef. It was rice with sweet basil leaves, pork, vegetables, egg , chilli and soy sauce. Since it was part of the lunch menu, I definitely got it for a cheap price.

If you see this restaurant anywhere around, make sure you go in and try some of their food. I highly recommend the drunken fried rice sha:) and to make it the best meal ever, add a bottle of cold supermalt *yoruba accent*

Another WAGAMAMA post

Hello readers,

I hope your weekend has been going great and even better than mine:)

So my last post was on how my money has almost finished and I was forced to cook for myself. Well, yesterday I had lunch with my friend X_X and since I was craving 'the firecracker meal' at Wagamama, I used two stones to kill one bird hehehe

I got to the restaurant, was so hungry and all I wanted to do was order my firecracker with chicken but my friend was running so late:(  I could not order till she came so I got myself an appetiser. I ordered a steamed bun with korean beef and red onions. Apparently, it was a new appetiser they just included into the menu so the waiter was really enthusiastic about me trying it. It was really good and if the waiter ever gets to read this, THANK YOU FOR ADVISING ME TO TRY IT:):)

After that, I finally got to order my firecracker and I LOVED IT:):) this is definitely my best meal at Wagamama.

I remember posting about a really good breakfast I once had at Wagamama( go check it again pls, its called 'Breakfast at Wagamama').  Now, I can have breakfast, lunch and dinner at this restaurant. *excited* *dancing*

My famous lunch at Wagamama;

My exciting life as a student

Hey guys,

I hope your week has been going really good:)

Today I want to show you guys another side of my student life hehehe..

Usually at the start of school, students like me always have money so I get the chance to go to different restaurants and post/share my experiences and only cook when I feel like. Well, as the term comes to an end, the money is almost gone:(:(

I had no choice but to cook this time around plus I was told by a few readers that they would love to see meals I cook. I am killing two stones with one bird eyyy?!?!?!

I made grilled chicken stew, minced beef sauce with chicken and jollof rice:):)

I took pictures of the different meals I cooked but for some reason I seemed to have lost the pictures:( so I only have a picture of the lunch I had yesterday.

P.S; I am the type that puts stew on my Jollof rice...blame my mum X_X
