HAPPY PANCAKE DAY EVERYONE!!!!

Heyy guys,

So today is PANCAKE DAY....YIPPEEEEE!!! Everyone loves pancakes from the young children to the adults to the old people. I remember my grandma ate a large pancake with eggs at breakfast at IHOP in Chicago last summer. I was shocked but that just shows that everyone loves pancakes.

I still do not know the reason behind pancake day but I think it is really cool:) Pancakes are amazing and sweet, I mean no one should not love pancakes or should say no to pancakes LOL.

You can always make your pancakes the way you want it; sweet or not sweet depending on your preference. Also, you can have pancakes with anything. For me personally, pancakes go best with chocolate chips or honey syrup or ice cream:) There are many recipes online to help with making pancakes.

My best pancake place is called 'MY OLD DUTCH'. I have been there so many times and go there every pancake day. They serve sweet, savoury, chocolates and butter scotch pancakes. I love the place because they have different kinds of pancakes like with ice-cream, with fruits, with syrup, with bacon and eggs, with vegetables and so on. There are so many choices:)

Unfortunately,  I could not go there today because I had to spend my whole day in school. I plan to go there as soon as I get the time or make pancakes at home.

For those in America, IHOP is definitely the place to go for pancakes:):) They do it right:) Their pancakes are so fluffy and sweet plus they also have chocolate pancakes.

Since I could not have pancakes today, decided to share pictures of my old visits to my Old Dutch and smiley pancakes (just because it looks pretty)

For the love of Burgers

Hey guys,

On Friday, I met up with my friends from university for dinner. We were really hungry and wanted a good meal that was not too expensive and very filling. One friend suggested we go to Byron. According to her, the best place to get a reasonably priced meal that would be filling was a restaurant that served burgers. I could not agree less and Byron was definitely the place.

I have shared my experience at a place called P&B were I had an amazing burger meal. This time, it was at Byron. The burgers from both restaurants are definitely different but still very yummy:) I ordered the classic burger which is just beef, buns and vegetables but yet it felt like I had other ingredients inside it. It was so yummy and filling. The whole meal cost less than £10 which was an extra plus for me:) I would just like to add that the fries are amazingggggg:):)

Ever find yourself craving a burger, go try Byron:):)

My 'on-the-go' Meals

Hello everyone,

So I have a question!!Has anyone ever had that moment in their life when there was no time to cook a meal or wait in a restaurant to get your meal cooked??

I am sure everyone has had that time once in their life. Personally, I have had those moments a whole lot. Sometimes, it is either because I wake up too late or because I have had such a busy day with no time to spare. For a long time, my on-the-go meal was Subway sandwiches and I think I have definitely tried all the different kind of subway sandwiches in my lifetime.

This year I decided to try something different especially because I was just getting tired of subway meals. A friend of mine suggested I try meals from Pretz, Itsu and Wasabi restaurants as they had readily made meals. It was definitely different from what I was used to but I liked the change.

My first meal was from Pretz. In the spirit of eating healthy, I got orange juice and a Tuna sandwich and it was really good:)

My second meal was from Wasabi. This was more like what I was used to so it was not really anything special. However, the meal was tasty and filling. It ordered the sweet chilli chicken with rice and peas.

The third meal was Japanese sticky rice with soy sauce and crab sushi. I got this from Itsu.

The fourth meal was from Itsu and Pretz. The salmon sushi was from Itsu and it was yummy:):) while the pulled pork rice (the pulled pork sauce is at the top while the rice is at the bottom). I did not really enjoy the pulled pork rice because apparently, it was not rice but quinoa rice. A lot of people say it is healthier than rice but tastes just the same as rice. Personally, I do not agree that it tastes like rice. Like I say, If its not rice, it just aint rice:(

P.S; if you enjoy reading my posts, please do not hesitate to share it and keep reading. Plus comments and criticisms are welcome:):)

Lunch Trips; Experience at Imperial College H-Bar!!!

Hey guys,

In January, I spent most of my time at school because of group projects, assignments, meetings and the rest. So sometimes, I had to get lunch from a restaurant called the Imperial College H-Bar. I must say they are really good and well balanced meals. I am not a salad person but I tried the salad and salmon once and it was amazing:):) It was filling and I was so sure I was eating very healthy that day. I must confess I have not had the salad after that day but that is only because I like to try different things.

I am sure I have posted something before about a meal I had at the H-Bar LOL and the quality of food has not changed since then. The first picture is the full salad with every kind of vegetable you can think of inside and it also had apples in it:):) I had a salmon with the salad and since in my head I was eating a healthy lunch, I decided to add chocolate eclairs as my dessert:):) The second meal is grilled chicken with rice and onions with peas on the side:) The third meal is fried rice, grilled salmon and roasted vegetables in tomato sauce:) These were my top meals in the restaurant so I had to share it with you all:)

For those wandering, each meal cost under £5:)

P.S; I need suggestions on restaurants to try out or meals to try out. I want something different from the usual LOL. Any suggestion is welcome:):) I also want healthy meal suggestions because I want to start my HEALTHY FRIDAYS again. Thank you xx

Appetisers and Noodles!!!

Hey guys,

With so much to share, I just had to put up another post in less than 24 hours:):)

I have always loved prawns and spring rolls. There is just something about these appetisers that get me so excited; like that feeling you get when you see your boyfriend that you have not seen in a long time LOL

I buy my prawns from a famous and really good Thai restaurant close to my house. It is called 'Prawn Tempura' which is fried prawn covered in batter. This dipped in sweet chilli sauce is just to die for. I can have it any time and any day plus prawns are healthy and good for the body:)

I love any kind of spring roll; from meat to duck to vegetable but my best one is the vegetable spring roll. I love how crunchy it is on the outside and inside, the vegetables are sweet and spicy. Although, not every restaurant knows how to make it the right way:( sometimes it is really soft and the vegetables inside seem to be over cooked, yuck!!

On another note, for some odd reason, I have been craving noodles a lot lately.I have had the chicken noodles and different kinds of vermicelli noodles. The Singapore style vermicelli noodles is my favourite. It is this really thin noodles mixed with chicken, pork, beef, prawns and vegetables.

MY LOVE FOR FOOD

Hey guys,

I AM OFFICIALLY BACK....WHOOP!! WHOOP!! ANYONE MISS ME?!?!?

Happy New Month Everyone:):) This is the month of LOVE and what better way for me to spend this month than to show love to all my readers and my love for food:):)

The month of January was an awesome month because I used every possible opportunity I had to try something new and I cannot wait to share with you all my food experiences:):)

Today, I would want to share my African or maybe I should say Nigerian experience:) My friends and I went to a Nigerian restaurant the first weekend in January to celebrate the new year 2015. It was so much fun and the food was great. We went to a restaurant called 805 Restaurant at Old Kent Road, London. We were feeling like rich and happy students so we ordered starters and main course. Of course,we were too full to order desert though:(

The food was very nice with the right amount of spices:) The service was pretty slow but I guess the good food covered for that part. It was a wonderful experience although it was not as cheap as I thought it would be X_X

The four of us ordered meat mixed grill and goat meat pepper soup for starters. I personally felt the pepper soup was really hot ( I do not like pepper) but my friend was of the opinion that it was just water and meat with no pepper or taste LOL

For our main course, I ordered Jollof rice, plantain and assorted meat (different kinds of meat like beef, shaki, cow foot) while my friends ordered fried yam with peppered sauce and fried fish, white rice with efo riro (vegetable) and assorted meat.

It was very filling and definitely worth the money we paid. I even got extra to take away as the food was too much to finish in one seating. I would say my experience was a 8/10. It should have been a 10/10 if not for the long time it took for the food to come (I am not a patient person).
