Support the movement; 'FEED LAGOS 2016'

Hey guys

The year 2016 is about to come to and end...WHOOP WHOOP!!
I hope we have all had a fantastic year.  My year has definitely been a learning experience...watch out for my story:)

To end the year in a happy mood, my friend and I are embarking on a food charity project.

Our plan is to feed a 1000 people in Lagos this December. We plan to visit two areas, one in Oworonshoki (mainland) and the other in Ajah (Island).

Hunger is real and we need to help those around us who cannot afford a good meal in a day. What better way to put a smile on someone's face this christmas.

Please support us with  donations or by being a volunteer. Any little helps:)

Please contact the numbers on the flyer for more details:)

My FAV spots/restaurants in Lagos

Hello lovely people

I hope we are all doing well:):) I have not posted anything in a long while:(

The blog is about to undergo new changes but would be back with a BANG...yes I said it...A BANG!!! I have so much in store for you all...new look with interesting content, mind blowing pictures/videos and so much more. You def need to stay tuned for it:):)

Just before I go on my break, I want to leave my lovely readers with one more post.

I am sure we all know that I have been in Lagos for almost a year now. Trust me to have tried out so many restaurants/spots in Lagos and my size can testify to that haha. I am still exploring more amazing places because Lagos just has so much to offer....

For now, my top favorite spots are

JEVENIK RESTAURANT
This has got to be my best restaurant in Lagos. The food is so palatabe and yummy. I have gone to their restaurants in Ikeja and Victoria Island. The portions are great so the food is always so filling. It is a great place to have a family dinner, lunch with friends, meetings and any kind of celebration. The one in Ikeja has a private/VIP hall were you can enjoy your lunch in private. They always have good music playing in the background and the prices are very very reasonable. This is a 100% Nigerian food restaurant

RHAPSODY
Rhapsody has everything for the youngsters like me. From a lounge to good drinks to great entertainment to amazing food to great music and much more. It is legit the best place to go if you want to chill, eat and have a food time:):) It opens from 5pm but around 8/9pm is the best time to go there. I have been to two on the Island, one in Lekki and another in Victoria Island. I have seen one at the Ikeja city mall too which is great for mainland chills:) The last time I went, I ordered one of their pasta meals and it was great. Let me be honest, the prices are high oo but I promise that you would have a good time.

SPURS RESTAURANT
My first time at Spurs was last year when I was one of the 'I just got back' peeps. I went to the one in Ikeja on Isaac John Street. I celebrated my birthday there and I posted something about it (PLEASE CHECK IT OUT). I had a great time there. This year, my office is too close to the one in Victoria Island so I am sort of a regular there. The food is always great. The ambience and south indian setting are pretty cool. Their portions are not as much as Jevenik but for some reason, I am always full when I eat there. This place is like the American-type food place with steak, rice, fries, seafood, burger etc

COLD STONE
I know this is not a restaurant X_X but I have some strong love for this place. They sell icecream, cakes, muffins, brownies and some other desserts but my absolute favs are the icecream cakes and the oreo overload icecream. If you are looking for any dessert place, Cold Stone is definitely the place. I know some people would say Hans and Rene or Icecream factory are better but personally, Cold stone is the BOSS of them all LOOOOL

       THE OREO OVERLOAD!!!!!!

The coolest part is you can find any of these spots both on the mainland and Island:):)

It would be nice to know your fav spots/restaurants in Lagos. Please share xx

Bridge Bar and Kitchen at Heathrow Terminal 3

Hey guys,

I know it has been so long:( I am really working on being more active with my blog posts, just need to adjust to my new lifestyle

So I traveled for a short while, it was amazing because I needed the holiday from the Lagos hustle and struggle. Before I boarded the plane, I went to one of the restaurants at Heathrow terminal 3 to get my last burger for the year LOL

I went to Bridge bar and Kitchen. I had only gone there once to have pancakes but this time I got a burger with sweet potatoe fries. The meal was really good and the burger was juicy:):) I was happier because it was very affordable. The service was great too:) I definitely recommend anyone waiting for their flight at Heathrow terminal 3 to go there:)

I had to put extra ketchup in my burger

The burger meat was soo juicy:)

As I am not a tomatoes fan, I took mine out of the burger X_X

Celebrating easter with the family

Hey guys,

I hope we all had an amazing easter celebration and got to spend the holidays with family:)

I spent my holiday with my family and it was great. On Easter Sunday, we went to Raddisson Blu for lunch. The restaurant is at Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos. It is in the same place as Hans and Rene, the famous ice cream place in Lagos.

My mum loves that place so much. The ambience is great and they had a live band play while we ate.

My only issue with the place was even after we made a reservation and came on time, our reservation was given out to someone else so we had to wait a while.

The cost per person was N15,000 and the meal came with a glass of sparkling wine and chapman.

Because it was buffet, I could only get pictures of the food I chose. I went for FOUR rounds hehehe.

The Starter; peppered mackarel, shrimps, fish with coconut batter, ham pasta salad, sweet chilli

The main course; veggies, plantain, jollof rice, prawns in cheese sauce, diced cowlegs

The breakfast course; ribs, chicken, sausage, pancakes with syrup

My last round was the dessert round but it was so yummy that I forgot to take a picture, I had four cakes with creme brulee and a vanilla mousse.

Raddisson always gets a 9 out of 10 for me:) One of my fav places in Lagos.

Lunch time at Victoria Island Lagos

Hey guys

I am sure most of us can relate to the work life of a fresh graduate in Lagos. Lunch times are either spent in the office if your workplace provides good and free food or spent at a restaurant close to the office.

For me, I found a really good spot to spend my one hour lunch break. I went there with my team for four days stretch till we realized we needed to start cutting cost. This spot was called MAMA CASS.
I always heard about the place when I was in the UK but I never had the chance to go there.

The restaurant is cool, simple sitting arrangements with a mini selection of food choices from rice, swallows and soups, moi moi, beans. porridge, plantain and spaghetti.

One colleague loved spaghetti so she would always order it with chicken while the other loved 'pomo' (cow skin/fat). I on the other hand would order different things every day to experiment but never ordered porridge. On a scale of 1-10, the food would get a 7 because their stew was peppery sha

I used to go to the one on Adeola Odeku Street, VI and it was always full during lunch hours

Some of the dishes I ordered were

RICE WITH BEANS, PLANTAIN AND BEEF

                                             PASTA WITH PLANTAIN AND POMO

                                              VEGETABLE WITH RICE AND POMO

FRIED RICE WITH PLANTAIN AND CHICKEN

Happy New Year and Welcome to 2016

Heyy guys,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! 2016 is here..whoop whoop...I am super late in posting my first 2016 post, all thanks to my new 9-5 job and limited internet access.

I hope we have been enjoying the first two weeks of the year. I have been adjusting to a new routine/lifestyle and I pray it goes amazing for me. I pray the same and more for you all.

My first outing this year was with my friend and we went to a really cozy and chilled place called OLIVIA'S CAFE. We had earlier planned to meet at BLD in Lekki Phase 1 but my friend was not really feeling the sitting arrangement. According to her, it was not the best place to relax and gist.

We ended up at Olivia's cafe which is in the same building as Nuts about cakes. Olivia's cafe is a place were you want to go relax, use wifi and have brunch with friends. They offer sandwiches, full english breakfast, desserts, pancakes, waffles, hot drinks and more. The prices are pretty decent too.

My friend ordered the full english breakfast with a hot chocolate and a carrot cake on the side

I had pancakes with syrup and apple juice

The pancakes were a bit dry though so I did not finish it. Even though I did not finish it, I was really full which was shocking. The carrot cake was amazing though.

I have planned a lot of places I want to go to in 2016, already made my goals list hehehe..shall be sharing that soon:)
