A new Chef in the building

Heyy guys,

I hope we are all having a stress free and amazing week:):) I have not been able to post anything in a while because of a few hitches here and there but things are good now YAAY

Today's post is about a new chef I met recently. Before I go into details, I would like to give a shout out to all the chefs out there. You all are doing an amazing job. Personally, I am a fan of Jamie Oliver and Chef Fregz, I think they are very creative and inspire me to cook.

So back to the main issue. I went to visit my friend a few days ago in Lagos and he told the chef to make lunch for us. I was expecting some jollof rice and chicken but to my surprise he made 'KISH'. It is a type of pizza and it was amazing. I do not know the ingredients but it tasted really good. If not that I was forming humble, I would have had more than one slice LOL

He told me about how he learned to cook in Cotonou and the different meals he had made and learned to make. He described one of his meals to me. It was a combination of minced beef, milk, ketchup and maybe eggs (do not remember if he said eggs though X_X). After he was done gisting me about all the different meals, I was inspired to learn to become a chef LOL

For privacy reasons, I would call him 'CHEF F'. So Chef F is a new chef in the building hehehe. If you are interested and want details about his meals or him, you can comment on this post or drop me a message:)

Mcdonald's vs Burger King??

Hey guys

So for some weird reason I have been trying to decide which is better, Mcdonald's OR Burger King. It might seem silly and strange but it is something we food lovers should be thinking about.

I think Mcdonald's is better because they are just tastier. The burgers at Burger King are a bit dry and the buns are not just as soft as Mcdonald's.

My little brother thinks Burger King is better though. He says Burger King gives him this amazing feeling hahaha

I know both are not healthy and the calories are just too high:( but sometimes you just need that on the go comfort food:)

What is your opinion? Which is better? If one was to open in Nigeria, which would you want to open?

The Colombian Street Food

Hey guys

I hope everyone is good and we are doing well. My week has been going really good and I am so glad:):)

So yesterday, my friend and I went to Old street station to meet up with another friend. While we were waiting for her, we saw a food stand inside the station. It was a Colombian street food stand. The plantain was just the attraction for us. We decided to try the food out and ordered the chicken box. It was the cheapest one and it had the word 'chicken' in it lol

The chicken box had plantain, grilled chicken, potatoes, beans and vegetables. To be honest, it was not all that. Only the plantain was tasty. On the bright side, I got to try something a bit different.

A real taste of India: 'Masala Zone'

Hey guys

I am super excited to tell you all about the Indian restaurant I went to today. It is called Masala Zone. I met my friends at the one at Covent Garden. A friend of mine recommended the place since I had always wanted to try authentic Indian cuisine. The ones I tried before were nothing to write home about.

The atmosphere was really calm and it had the Northern Indian look. I ordered the butter chicken curry regular thali platter. It had the butter chicken curry with a side of rice, side on lentil, side of potatoes in tomatoe sauce, side of cauliflower and peas and a side of papadum and chutney. Since I love flat bread so much, I ordered a side of chapati:)

The food was amazing I tell you. I loved the butter chicken curry which was different and tastier than the regular curry you can get anywhere. The side of potatoes was really good too and for someone who does not love vegetables, I really enjoyed the cauliflower with peas.

To top it off, we got a 20% discount on the meal which would have been 50% if we had dinner rather than lunch.

I totally encourage you all to go there and try their food:)
